Listed are some of the techniques we use to make our dogs the best they can be.


We try to match owners needs to each Dog's Temperament
We try to match you with the right dog by getting to know you and what you need in a dog.
The more you can tell us the better. Our puppies are coded with a colored ribbon at birth
and notes are kept on their development and personality characteristics as they grow.

Puppy Aptitude Test
At 6 weeks of age each puppy will be evaluated for conformation and temperament using
Volhards Puppy Aptitude Test. In addition, evaluations will be done to help identify the main
components of good working temperaments for dogs being selected for work in K-9, Scent
detection, Search, Schultzhund, Agility, Obedience and other activities.

Neurological-stimulation
We do early Neurological-stimulation with our puppies from day 3 - day 17 of their life. The US Military
in their canine program developed a method that still serves as a guide to what works. They use this
method to improve performance of dogs used for military purposes. It is well known that early life is a
time when the physical immaturity is most responsive to a restricted but important class of stimuli.
This stimuli includes thermal, tactile stimulation, motion and locomotion as well. This neurological
stimulation gives the dog a superior advantage.
Benefits of this stimulation include but are not limited to:
Improved cardiac vascular performance, (heart rate),
Stronger heart beats
Stronger adrenal glands
More tolerance to stress and
Greater resistance to disease.

Rule of Sevens                                                                                                                                                
We follow the rule of 7s. By the time a puppy is 7 weeks old it will have been on 7 different surfaces,played
with 7 different type of objects, been in 7 different locations, been exposed to 7 challenges, eaten from 7
different containers, and eaten in 7 different locations and met  and played with 7 new people.
We feel this gives the puppies a great start in life.

Each puppy will have a health certificate from our vet, will have his first set of puppy vaccinations,           
be de-wormed and micro chipped. We also supply you with the Rolling Oaks Shepherds Health Guarantee.

In Deepest Memories of our sweet Golden Retriever who recently
passed away, just a few months short of his 15th Birthday. We
miss him so!  He was Uncle Rusty to all our white shepherds. He  
enjoyed playing with our newborn puppies too as seen below.
